New ways to get in touch with us to request an appointment

From the 23rd September 2024 we will be implementing a new way to request a GP appointment. We want to get rid of the morning 8am rush for appointments by making it easier for patients to contact us. From the 23rd September all requests for a GP or physio appointment will be triaged by a GP.

Patients will be able to make a request:

  • online by completing an online form,
  • using the NHS App
  • by phoning the surgery on 0114 2299835
  • or visiting the surgery.

If you are able to use the online form then this is a quick and easy way to contact us and it will help to keep the phone lines less busy so patients without online access will be able to get through to us quicker.

It is important to us that fair and equal access to care is available to all our patients. However you contact us, a healthcare professional will assess your request in the same way and as soon as possible.

Please note receptionists will not be able to book you a GP appointment until the request has been triaged by a GP.

Flu Vaccinations

Please don't forget to book your appointment for your flu vaccine. The flu season opens for 2-3 year olds and pregnant ladies from 1st September 2024. All other eligible patients will be able to have their flu vaccination from 3rd October 2024.

Our flu clinics on the 3rd and 10th October are fully booked but we still have availability on the 12th October 2024. If you are not available on that date then please phone the surgery to book an appointment.
