When We Are Closed
Please note that the Surgery premises will be closed from 1.00pm on the 4th August 2020 for staff training. Phones will be diverted to the Sheffield Out of Hours Collaborative. The surgery will open as usual on the 5th August at 8.00am. If you need to collect your medications from the dispensary on Tuesday please ensure you collect them before 1pm.

Throughout the weekend and public holidays and between 18:30 and 08:00 on weekdays our phone lines automatically divert all calls to our out of hours' provider GP Collaborative.
If you require urgent medical attention that cannot wait until the surgery opens please call 111. This is a free call from landlines and mobiles.

At the walk-in centre you can receive healthcare information, advice and treatment for:
- Coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms
• Information on staying healthy/local services
• Skin complaints - rashes, sunburn, headlice, nappy rash
• Muscle and joint injuries - strains and sprains
• Stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea
• Women’s health problems, eg thrush, menstrual advice
• Hayfever, bites and stings
Additional services at Sheffield Walk-in Centre:
• Treatment of minor infections (anti-biotics dispensing)
• General health care assessments
• Emergency contraception.
Minor Injury Unit
Description of Service
The nurse-led Minor Injuries Unit treats most minor injuries such as cuts and bruises, minor burns, fractures to the hands and lower arms, lower legs and feet. The Unit cannot treat injuries to the chest, back, hips or thighs.
Accessing service - Walk in service, Royal Hallamshire Hospital: 08:00 to 20:00.
What to bring - Details of any prescription medicines you are currently taking
Typical procedures – you may be required to undergo a number of tests such as X-rays, blood tests, etc. This will depend on your symptoms and will be decided by the nurse in charge of your treatment.
